Attorney Biography

Stuart Pixley joined Heller Ehrman in 2008 and is a part of the Intellectual Property Transactions practice group.

Experience

Mr. Pixley specializes in strategic technology and intellectual property transactional matters forlife science, semiconductor,  software and other high technology and emerging growth companies with an emphasis on complex technology licensing and development transactions, as well as strategic intellectual property matters arising in connection with mergers, acquisitions and other corporate transactions.

Representative Engagements

  • Represented multinational food products corporation in a scientific research collaboration for the development and discovery of new flavor compounds using advanced cell-line development technology.
  • Represented Hutchison Port Holdings in connection with a joint venture with Savi Technology, Inc. for the installation and operation of a RFID network for container traffic tracking and control.
  • Represented Motorola, Inc. in connection with the sale of its automotive and telematics business to Continental A.G. and with respect to the spinoff and divestiture of Motorola’s semiconductor products sector, now Freescale Semiconductor, Inc..
  • Represented Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in conjunction with a collaboration and strategic alliance agreement for the discovery of biomarkers and development and commercialization of diagnostic tests and test kits.
  • Represented Maxim Integrated Products in connection with the acquisition of a storage products division from Vitesse Semiconductor Corporation.
