Rachel Jones joined the firm in 2001 and practices litigation.
Ms. Jones practices principally in the areas of antitrust and complex commercial litigation, including federal and state class actions and coordinated multidistrict litigation. Ms. Jones also is an experienced appellate lawyer who has argued before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Ms. Jones has represented companies in the banking and payment card industry in antitrust litigation. She also has represented foreign governments and their agencies in disputes over sovereign immunity under United States law; represented companies in consumer class action litigation; represented clients in connection with a grand jury investigation; and represented a major international law firm against claims of legal malpractice.
Ms. Jones is a member of the American Bar Association's Section of Antitrust Law. She is a contributing drafter for the ABA Section of Antitrust Law, Antitrust Law Developments (6th ed. 2007); the 2007 Annual Review of Antitrust Law Developments (forthcoming 2008); and the 2005 Annual Review of Antitrust Law Developments (2006).
Prior to joining Heller Ehrman, Ms. Jones completed a judicial clerkship with the Honorable William Alsup of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.
