Attorney Biography

Christopher J. Husa joined the firm in 2001 and has a general corporate practice emphasizing mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial finance, and the representation of businesses in ongoing affairs. He is a member of the Corporate/VLG Practice Group.

Experience

Mr. Husa has counseled buyers and sellers in mergers and acquisitions involving a variety of industries, including automotive products, hospitality, computer hardware and software, cosmetics, real estate, food services, and healthcare products. He has assisted emerging businesses in organizational activities and in raising capital, and has represented both underwriters and issuers in public offerings. Mr. Husa has also advised borrowers and lenders in commercial finance transactions, and has assisted clients in connection with the purchase and sale of hotels and resort properties, technology transfers and licensing, product distribution arrangements, and the formation of partnerships, joint ventures and limited liability companies.

  • Represented a division specializing in the development of software for the design and analysis of electronic systems in its spin-off from a product design software firm.
  • Represented a manufacturer of specialized wheel chairs in its acquisition by a publicly-held manufacturer of heath care products.
  • Represented a UK manufacturer of entertainment industry support products in the reorganization of its US operations.
  • Represented an electronics engineering firm in connection with a joint venture for the development of integrated circuits.
  • Represented a Web site development company in its acquisition by a publicly-held Web site developer and Internet services provider.
  • Represented clients in the aerospace and automotive industries and assisted in the resolution of shareholder disputes.
