Michael DeLarco joined the firm in 2006 and is a member of the Labor and Employment Practice Group.
Mr. DeLarco has extensive experience in labor and employment litigation representing large and small employers, as well as government agencies. Mr. DeLarco’s practice encompasses all areas of labor and employment disputes, including the defense of age, race, sex, disability and wage and hour claims. He regularly represents clients in litigations in federal and state court and in proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and various city and state agencies. Mr. DeLarco also represents clients in collective bargaining negotiations and labor arbitrations and counsels and represents clients with claims involving breach of contract, severance, defamation, non-competition, solicitation and other related issues. Mr. DeLarco has extensive pre-trial and trial experience. He has obtained summary judgment on behalf of the employer in a number of discrimination lawsuits. In addition, he has successfully obtained defense verdicts in several employment discrimination cases before juries in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and in bench trials before various state courts and administrative agencies. Prior to joining Heller Ehrman, Mr. DeLarco was an associate in the Labor and Employment Group of a prominent New York law firm and an Assistant Corporation Counsel in the Labor and Employment Division of the New York City Law Department.
