Mr. Bjerke joined the firm in 2007. Mr. Bjerke is a member of the firm’s Corporate/Venture Law Group and Real Estate & Finance practices, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and business transactions.
Mr. Bjerke has represented clients in the acquisition or sale of hundreds of companies over the past 30 years, including representation of Avista Corporation, Puget Sound Energy, Starbucks Corporation, Microsoft, Red Lion Hotels, Security Properties, Inc. and Bristol Bay Native Corporation. He has also represented hotel owners, franchisors, franchisees and management companies in the whole range of hotel related acquisitions, financings and business agreements. Mr. Bjerke has a long history of dedication to civic involvement and community volunteerism. He is currently Vice-Chairman of the Board of Regents at Pacific Lutheran University, and a Trustee and former Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Childhaven. He previously served as a member of the Board of Directors and President of the Market Foundation, and as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Pike Market Medical Clinic. He has also served on boards of directors for businesses, including as Chairman and President of Riddell Williams P.S., Chairman of the Board of Directors of WestCoast Hotels, and as a member of the Board of Directors of Paramount Hotels and Coast Hotels USA.
