Brett Atkins joined Heller Ehrman in 2007 and has a corporate and intellectual property transactions practice.
Dr. Atkins focuses on corporate and intellectual property transactions involving life science and high tech companies, especially with regard to financing, corporate formation and governance, strategic partnerships and collaborations, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, spin-out transactions, licensing agreements, manufacturing agreements and clinical research agreements. Prior to his legal career, Dr. Atkins conducted academic biomedical research in the field of molecular genetics and worked as a research scientist in a biotechnology company.
